Ireland thrashes Fijiana 31-10

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side were slammed 31-10 in its first match of the Kitakyushu 7s against Ireland.

The Ireland women’s 7s team tore apart the defence of the Fijiana side to take an early lead at the breather.

The Saiasi Fuli coached side is currently ranked 10th in the women’s series standing with 9 points.

The Fijana 7s team will have to pick up their game if they are to secure an automatic qualification to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The top four teams in the women’s series standing will be able to book a spot in next year’s world meet.

Meanwhile, Fiji will meet USA at 5.36pm before battling England at 7.58pm in its last pool match.
