Fiji Airways 7s coach Gareth Baber is recovering at the MIOT Hospital in Suva.

Baber is suffering from a bacterial infection.

Fiji Rugby Union Chief Executive John O’Connor has confirmed that Baber will not travel with the Fiji 7s team to London tomorrow.

O’Connor says there’s nothing serious about Baber’s condition but he will join the team later this week in London.

“The Doctor advised is such that the rest to allow him to recover quickly rather than continuing with the treatment while he’s away. We’re looking forward to him traveling on Friday meeting the players in London.”

The national 7s side will depart from Nadi International Airport At 8am tomorrow.

Baber is expected to join the team in London on Saturday.

The London 7s will kick off next Saturday.
