Poor start for Fijiana at Glendale 7s

The Fiji Airways Fijiana side lost both their pool matches in the HSBC Glendale 7s this morning.

Fiji was thrashed 31-7 by Canada in their opening pool match and was later handed a 35-7 defeat from Australia in their second game.

Fiji struggled against a formidable Canadian defense in the second half of the match after being held 7-all at half time.

Canada hit the gas pedal in the second spell adding 24 more points to seal the victory.

Fiji’s lone try in the match against Canada was scored by Ana Maria Naimasi.

Fiji continues their struggle as they take on Australia in their second pool match, but were eventually outclassed by the Australian women.

The Fijiana side managed to score their lone try against Australia through Raijieli Daveua.

The Fijiana side will meet Spain in their last pool game of the Glendale 7s.

The quarterfinals will take place at 4.10 tomorrow morning while the final will be held at 10.58am tomorrow.
