The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team has defeated Spain 41-12 in the Challenge Trophy at the Kitakyushu 7’s in the last few minutes.

Asinate Savu, Ana Maria Naimasi, Raijeli Daveua and Paulini Korowaqa scored a try each for Fiji.

The Saiasi Fuli-coached side earlier defeated Japan 28-17 in the first semi-final of the Challenge Trophy.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana’s lost all their pool matches yesterday.

They were beaten by England 15-35, hammered by USA 35-5 and overthrown by Ireland 31-10.
