The Fiji Airways Sevens team defeated New Zealand 14-12 to force its way into the Oktoberfest 7s final in Germany.

Terio Tamani’s last-minute sensational try earned Fiji a spot in the final.

In pool play, Fiji defeated USA 33-5 in their opening match, beat hosts Germany 31-15 and defeated France 31-28.
