Fiji captain Paula Dranisinukula against USA in the semifinal [Source: Hong Kong Sevens]
The Fiji Airways 7s side has progressed to the cup final of the Hong Kong tournament after defeating USA 28-19 in the cup semi-final.
Fiji will meet France in the Cup final after France beat Samoa 19-12.
Fiji made a stunning start which saw Sevuloni Mocenacagi scoring the opening try to put them into an early lead 7-0.
USA’s Carlin Isles then levelled the score 7-all.
The Fijians did not stop as Filimoni Botitu extended their scoreline to 14-7 at the breather.

Speedster Alasio Naduva then scored a double for Fiji in the second spell.
Isles and Kevon Williams scored a try each for the USA but was not enough to match up the scoreline.

Fijian captain Paula Dranisinukula says the players knew what was required of them to do on the field.
“It was a very tough game and we know when we reach the semi-final we have to fight very hard to get to the final and I told the boys that this is the moment and this is the time and don’t let it go it comes only once and we have to grab it and the boys gave their all in the game.”

This is Fiji’s 30th consecutive win in Hong Kong as they have not lost a match in Happy Valley since March 2014.
Fiji will meet France in the cup final at 11pm.
France defeated Samoa 19-12 in the second semifinal.
