Fiji finishes third in Vancouver

The Fiji Airways men’s 7s side defeated USA 24-14 to finish in third place at the Vancouver tournament.

Alasio Naduva and Terio Tamani scored Fiji’s first two tries to put them 12-7 at the break.

Kevon Williams scored for the USA.

Josua Vakurunabili was given a yellow card in the second spell for a dangerous tackle.

The USA regrouped which saw speedster Carlin Isles ran over the try line to add their second try before Vilimoni

Botitu scored the final try for Fiji to seal the victory.

The South Africa men’s 7s side has been crowned the winner of the Vancouver 7s tournament.

This after the side defeated an improved French side 21-12 in the cup final a while ago.

Meanwhile, New Zealand beat England 26-19 to finish fifth in the tournament.

Australia defeated Canada 33-21 to win the Challenge Trophy final.
