Fiji bundled out of Sydney 7s

The Fiji Airways men’s 7s side went down to New Zealand 36-14 in the Cup semi-final in Sydney.

The All Blacks 7s side made a firing start and led 19-7 at half time.

Fiji’s only try in the first half came from Jerry Tuwai.

The national team was cut down to six men after robust forward Sevuloni Mocenacagi was shown the red card for a dangerous tackle on Scott Gregory.

Fiji’s misery continued in the second spell as Meli Derenalagi was shown yellow card for a dangerous tackle.

The match got more intense as Kurt Baker was sin binned for a late tackle on Terio Tamani.

Fiji will now play in the Bronze final against England at 9.29pm.

New Zealand will face USA in the Cup final at 9.56pm.

USA defeated England 14-7 in the second semifinal.
