Fiji 7s thrash New Caledonia at Pacific Games

The Fiji Sevens men’s team have thrashed New Caledonia 47-0 in their second pool match at the Pacific Games in Samoa.

The Gareth Baber side led 19-0 at halftime.

Fiji earlier defeated Wallis and Futuna 45-0.

Fiji will play their third pool match against the Cook Islands at 3.06pm today.

Fiji’s last pool match will be against Nauru at 9.06am tomorrow.

The 7s Bronze medal final will be between the runner-up from pinner Pool A against the runner-up from pool B at 3.28pm tomorrow.

The Gold medal final will be between the Winner Pool A against the Winner from Pool B at 4.12pm tomorrow.

Meanwhile, in the women’s division, the Fijiana beat Solomons Islands 42-0 in their first pool match and thrashed Nauru 58-0 in the second match.

The Fijiana will face Papua New Guinea at 1.38pm in their final pool match.
The Women’s quarterfinal will kick-off at 8.28am and the medal semifinal will start at 12.08pm tomorrow.

The Gold medal finall will kick-off at 3.50pm.
