An 18 member extended Fiji Airways mens 7s squad will set up camp in Sigatoka this week to prepare for the Las Vegas tournament.
Heading into the final preparation phase, Coach Gareth Baber says the squad has maintained a fiercely competitive training environment for the last few weeks.
“All the players from last week will be in again this week. Some of the newer players have put their hands up which is good, and what I want. But I’m obviously still looking for that consistency, continuity in the squad and making sure that we’re going to be as competitive as we can.”
The extended squad will train at Lawaqa Park until Wednesday, then will go on a short break to spend time with family before jetting off to the United States on Friday.
Meanwhile, Fiji is in pool D with Australia, Wales, and Scotland for the Las Vegas 7s which will be held from the 2nd to the 4th of March.
