A few Fiji Airways men’s 7s players will feature in the Silverwaters Tabadamu 7s this weekend.

Coach Gareth Baber says this is to give him a fair idea for his team selection.

He says this is in line with the team’s preparation for the Hamilton 7s as well as scouting new talents.

Some players will be released to go play in the Tabadamu 7s. We’re hopefully going to get some games here against some local teams as well. That’s all in the training plan and we’re going to stick to that cause that’s where we know we can get ourselves to the right place. On top of that, I want to see some of those local players playing. It’s important that I see them, as I’ve said before. The door is always open and I want to see that talent coming through.”

The Tabadamu 7s will be held on Friday at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

Meanwhile, the Hamilton tournament will be held on the 26th and the 27th of this month.
