England 7s captain Tom Mitchell says everything is going according to their game plan as they prepare for the Hong Kong tournament later today.

Mitchell says they have done the hard yards in camp and are ready for the three-day showdown.

“It’s very exciting coming into this season and at this point we’re fifth in the world 7s standings and we know that the top four this season will qualify to the Olympics and its pretty exciting the fight we’re in and it’s a challenge for us to be excited about to go into a massive tournament in Hong Kong.”

The English side last won in Hong in 2006 when after defeating Fiji 29-19.

England is pooled with USA, Wales and Spain in Hong Kong.
