Dubai 7s organizers ban plastic use

With the 2019 Dubai 7s quarterfinals beginning tonight, an initiative taken up by the organizers of the tournament has been lauded widely.

The organizers of the tournament have made arrangement for a concert at pitch two of the Dubai 7s tournament venue and in this concert they have disallowed the use of all forms of plastic.

In a twitter post, the Dubai Rugby 7s event organizers have informed prospective viewers of the concert that their bags would be checked upon arrival.

This concert will have Kylie Minogue performing live on stage.

On the other hand A shocking defeat in the Women’s Dubai Rugby sevens competition with France beating defending champions New Zealand 19-14 in their final pool match on Friday.

France scored first but New Zealand came back with a brace of to lead 14-7 at half-time.

Two minutes into the second half the sides were locked 14 all before France scored another try to edge the series champions.

France held tight to their defense barely allowing the Black Ferns out of their own half.

France will face Canada in the cup quarter-finals while series champions New Zealand will face Pacific rival Fiji.
