Dranisinukula fit to travel with national team to Vancouver

Fiji Airways men’s 7s forward Paula Dranisinukula will travel with the national team for the Vancouver tournament this weekend.

Dranisinukula was ruled out of the Las Vegas 7s after the fifth place semi-final due to injuries.

Fiji Rugby Union Chief Executive John O’Connor says Dranisinukula will be part of the side and ready for the selection in the 13-member squad.

He says they will not send any replacement unless there is a request from Fiji 7s Coach Gareth Baber.

Fiji is pooled with Samoa, Kenya, and Canada for the Vancouver 7s.

They begin its campaign against Kenya at 5.36am on Sunday, then faces Canada at 9.08am before playing Samoa in its final pool match at 1.02pm.

The Cup quarterfinals begin at 6.08am, semi-finals start at 10.08am and the final is scheduled for 1.19pm.
