A young man from a humble background, Jerry Tuwai has most definitely done the country proud after being named the World Rugby 7s player of the year.
Support has been pouring in from all angles and even the Prime Minister of the country Voreqe Bainimarama has sent his congratulatory message for Tuwai.

In a twitter post, Bainimarama said this is a well-deserved accolade for our own Jerry Tuwai.

Sevens legend, Waisale Serevi also took to twitter to congratulate Tuwai on his achievement.
In his post, Serevi congratulated Tuwai and said he is proud of what Tuwai has been able to achieve.
