The Fiji Airways men’s 7s team will be challenged with the cold weather conditions in Las Vegas this weekend.
Coach Gareth Baber is aware of the freezing conditions and they are trying to get the players to adapt to it before game day.
He says the weather should not be an excuse for them this weekend.
“I’ve seen the snow in Vegas at the moment and obviously it’s a challenge for us and we have to train in a certain time of the day. The boys know what to do and because it is snowing it doesn’t mean we can shy away from the challenge that we have and my role is to create focus in our training.”
Fiji kicks off its campaign against Scotland at 11.22am on Saturday, meets Wales at 2.23pm before playing Australia at 7.52am on Sunday in its last pool match.
The Cup quarters begin at 1.46pm on Sunday, semis at 9.12am next Monday and the Cup final will be played at 12.30pm.
