The Fiji Airways mens 7s coach Gareth Baber says the players need the support from fans to win tournaments in the World Rugby Series this season.

The team received a lot of criticism after losing in Dubai but turned around a week later to win the Cape Town 7s on Monday.

He has asked the public to stop the negativity and instead be honest supporters.

“Criticism which came up after losing one in Dubai and its difficult for them in those situations because they came up against a very good USA. They went into two finals and they are playing well at the moment and that will happen through the season.”

Fiji sits third on the series standings with 35 points while New Zealand is second with 37 points and USA sits on top with 38 points.
