Fiji Airways men’s 7s coach Gareth Baber is working overtime to ensure the players maintain their discipline on the field when it comes to crucial games in the tournament.

Baber says a lot of local players think receiving a yellow card is just missing the game for two minutes.

He says the players need to change their mindsets.

“Simply the player comes off, sits down and goes back after two minutes. In international rugby you will possibly concede two tries. So it’s changing that mindset in our players is a big positive to us.”

Meanwhile, Fiji is pooled with Scotland, Wales and Australia in the Las Vegas 7s.

The Fiji 7s side kicks off its campaign against Scotland at 11.22am on Saturday, meets Wales at 2.23pm before playing Australia at 7.52am on Sunday in its last pool match.

The Cup quarters begin at 1.46pm on Sunday, semis at 9.12am next Monday and the Cup final will be played at 12.30pm.
