Baber pleased with warm up match against Wales

The Fiji 7s side had a warm up match with Wales today.

Head Coach Gareth Baber says he is pleased with the outcome of the match.

Baber says the players reacted well in tackle situations and he hopes they continue with that momentum heading into their first match against Japan.

Baber will confirm tomorrow the 12 players that will kick start the season in Dubai.

Meanwhile, Fiji 7s Captain Paula Dranisnikula is well aware of what the team is playing for in Dubai from Friday.

Dranisinukula and the captains had their photo shoot today and also spoke about the importance of the 2019/2020 World 7s series.

Dranisinukula said Fiji is not looking ahead of Dubai.

The Fiji Men’s side meet Japan at 4:02am on Friday. Their second pool match is at 10:04pm against Argentina and France at 4:02am on Saturday.

In the women’s competition the Fijiana will play all their pool games on Friday starting with Australia at 12:12am they will then meet Spain at 6pm before taking on Ireland at 11:12pm.
