Fiji Airways captain Kalione Nasoko will seek medical attention this week after he sustained calf injury in the Vancouver tournament last week.

Baber says he is hoping Nasoko will recover well before the Hong Kong tournament.

“It’s too early to say it. You know obviously he had to do it on Saturday and had a flight back and he’s got a niggling calf cartilage issue on his knee which the one he did prior to the Dubai and South Africa as well and so he’s going to have attended this week on Friday hopefully and have a scan.”

He adds there have been a few players who are injured in the squad including Vilimoni Botitu, Jerry Tuwai and Waisea Nacuqu who has been ruled out of the season.

Meanwhile, Fiji is in Pool C alongside Pool rivals New Zealand, Australia and Kenya in Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong 7s will be held from the 5th to the 7th of April.
