Fiji Airways men’s 7s coach Gareth Baber has hinted that he is likely to name a forward as the 13th man at the Hamilton 7s this weekend.
Barring any major injuries in the team, Baber will name Terio Tamani in the final squad and drop Apenisa Cakaubalavu from the final squad.
Baber says he hopes to name six forwards and six backs for the tournament in his bid to win back-to-back Hamilton titles.
“They understand the responsibility that we have, they keen to prove to everybody back in Fiji, exactly what they can do time in time out again. We always for that, we always try and get to our best, sometimes we are human beings and we don’t get there but this week we are aiming to get there.”
The national side won the Hamilton 7s title beating South Africa 24-17 in the final last year.
The Fiji 7s side sits third on the World Rugby Series table with 35 points, two behind second placed New Zealand while USA leads with 38 points after the first leg.
The Fiji 7s side begins its campaign against Wales at 10.52am on Saturday then faces Argentina at 2.42pm and plays Australia in its last pool match at 6.52pm.
