Aussie 7s side chases HK title since 1988

April 6, 2019 12:01 pm

The fate of the Australian 7s side is now hanging on the balance after suffering a 40-12 defeat to New Zealand in its Hong Kong pool match last night.

Struggling to survive the pool of death, the Aussie will have to win its next two matches to keep their hope of Cup quarterfinal alive.

Chances of qualifying to the Cup quarters for the Aussies’ looks slim as they are set to encounter a physical Fijian side later this afternoon in its second pool match.
