Twenty four teams will battle for the Tiliva 7s title next month in Kadavu.

Tournament spokesperson Lynda Tabuya says they will be talking to Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber to be part of the tournament next month.

Tabuya says most former and current Fiji 7s rep will be part of the tournament to boost the sport on the Island.

“Terio Tamani who’s on the current Fiji 7s team was the captain of the Ura Kadavu team in 2017 that won the tournament. We’re looking forward to having him again to come and support the tournament. It is in the dates where there are no tournaments are happening around the country or around the world so it’s convenient for them to attend. Of course, Jerry Tuwai’s team is coming and we look forward to having them also to come and boost the competition.”

The Tiliva 7s tournament will run through the 25th and 26th of next month in Tiliva, Nakasaleka Kadavu.
