Seven sports are vying to be represented by Team Fiji at the Youth Olympic Games in October.
These are table tennis, weightlifting, athletics, rugby 7s, boxing, swimming and badminton.
Team Fiji Chef de Mission, Tomasi Tiko, says out of the seven sports they have three sports that have universality places.
“So which means they will be represented whether they qualify or not. For the other sports, they will need to qualify in order to be represented at the games.”
He adds beach volleyball and rugby sevens for both the men’s and the women’s team, having already taken part in qualification tournaments, they still have the possibility of receiving an invitation.
The Youth Olympic Games will be held from the 6th to the 18th of October in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
