Five experienced hands and seven uncapped players have been tasked to break the 13-year jinx at Dubai and maintain Fiji’s lead in the IRB World Sevens Series.

Setefano Cakau was named captain along with Levani Botia as the only experienced forwards.

Inia Tukere, Gasaudua Tube, Vilitati Nadialobo and Peni Maka make up the forwards.

Ilai Tinai, Joji Raqamate and Isikeli Vuruna lead the backline with Maleli Bula, John Stewart and Peni Vaciloa.

Gold Coast 7s star, Alipate Raitini has been left out of the 12-member team.

The team flies off for Dubai and Port Elizabeth next week.
