Schools football IDC quarters kicks off

The Fiji Secondary Schools Football IDC quarter-finals kicks off this morning at Govind Park in Ba.

The top eight teams emerging after two days of competition are Ba Sangam, Swami Vivekananda College, Tavua College, Central College, Penang Sangam, Cuvu College, Saraswati College and Labasa Sangam.

FSSFA secretary Vimlesh Kumar says the level of football is expected to step up today with teams boasting district reps.

Cuvu College however, is one team that has risen to the occasion and is without any district players.

Players will also be bringing their A-game knowing national selectors will be present to scout potential footballer’s for the Fiji Under 20 side next year.
