All Black mid-fielder Sonny Bill Williams has not ruled on a rugby league return. The 33 year old has hinted he would return to the 13 man code but in a coaching position.

Williams says the chance to influence his Pacifica people is a huge motivating factor to his return to the game. The 34 year old is already working on his coaching papers saying it should help him more on field when the time comes.

Williams last played in the 2014 for the Sydney rosters where he won the NRL premiership with club before returning to rugby union.

At the moment the chief’s center is focusing on making his third world cup appearance, as the mid-field position is a hotly contested position right now in the All Blacks squad.
