The Sawani Brothers Rugby Club of Bua received a full gym set from the Ministry of Youth and Sports yesterday.

Minister Laisenia Tuitubou handed over the equipment, worth $15,000.
Speaking to the team, Tuitubou urged them to use the equipment to their benefit and to use it wisely.

The team had requested for the gym equipment during the Minister’s visit last year to help develop their strength and fitness.
Team Manager Vili Matavesi says they can notice the difference between teams that use proper training equipment and those that don’t.
He adds, with the new equipment, they can guarantee that some of the players will go on to don the white jumper.

Team Captain Sailosi Tuiwasa says when they played in the Marist 7s this year, they noticed that teams in Viti Levu had a lot of stamina and were more fit.

He adds they hope that with the new equipment they will be able to reach that level.
