Saukuru to stay with Rewa this season

Vodafone Fiji football mid-fielder Epeli Saukuru will stay with Rewa this season.

Saukuru who applied to join Lautoka in the transfer window, later withdrew his interest of being part of the Blues camp.

Fiji FA Chief Executive Mohammed Yusuf says, the two districts had reached to a decision, which means Saukuru is now cleared to play for the Delta Tigers.

“The resolution between Rewa and Lautoka in-terms of Epeli Saukuru, the case was not brought before the tribunal so there was no dispute, Lautoka withdrew. With that agreement Saukuru’s letter of withdrawal is no effective and he will stay with Rewa and play with Rewa.”

Meanwhile in the Vodafone Premier League, Labasa hosts Dreketi at 1.30pm at Subrail Park.

Two matches will be played on Sunday at 3pm, Suva plays Lautoka at Churchill Park and Nadi plays Tavua at Prince Charles Park.
