Saukuru appointed as prefect at Wesley College in NZ

Former Natabua High School student and rugby league player Semesa Saukuru created history after becoming the first Fijian to be appointed the head prefect at the Wesley College in New Zealand.

The school has produced rugby legends like All Blacks winger Jonah Lomu, Sitiveni Sivivatu, Malakai Fekitoa, Stephen Donald, Augustine Pulu and Wallabies rep Sekope Kepu to name a few.

Saukuru who captained the NZ Fiji Secondary School team during the New Zealand Secondary 7s competition – was introduced to the school by his uncle and former All Blacks rep Joeli Vidiri.

He played rugby league and union for Natabua High and recently secured a three-year contract with the New Zealand Warriors Rugby League team.
