Fiji’s Eroni Sau received the World Rugby sevens series rookie of the year award in Paris this morning.

Sau made his debut in Dubai 7s beginning of the season and since then has scored 37 tries in 58 matches for the side.

Fiji 7s players also dominated the World Rugby sevens series dream team with Kalione Nasoko, Jerry Tuwai, Amenoni Nasilasila and Eroni Sau making the cut.

The four players had an outstanding performance this season.

Other players in the dream team include South Africa’s Dylan Sage, Kenya’s Oscar Ouma and Australia’s Ben O’Donnell.

South Africa’s coach Neil Powell scooped the coach of year series award.
