Sarju tells players to uplift performance

October 5, 2015 12:29 am

Lautoka Football Coach, Lambert Sarju has urged his players to step up their performance after the 1-all draw against Nadi at the Courts Inter-District Championships yesterday.

The Jetsetters were leading the charge but a screamer from Alvin Avinesh in the dying stages of the match saw Lautoka level the scores.

Sarju says the players played well but there is still room for improvement in order to register wins in the upcoming matches.

“Come Wednesday we’ll be facing Suva and we’ll need to win the game to get that four points and each game we treat it as a final and we cannot underestimate any teams likewise Dreketi. They’ve scored an upset in Labasa.
So I say it’s a very stiff competition for all the teams.”

The Blues take on Suva in their next match at 5.30pm on Wednesday at Govind Park in Ba.

In other matches, Nadi plays Dreketi at 1pm, Rewa take son Nadroga at 3pm while Ba face Labasa at 7.30pm.
