Defending champions of the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools football Inter District Championships Under-19 grade, Saraswati College from Nausori has started its campaign on a high.
The Air Tech/Shop and Save sponsored side thumped Swami Vivekananda College from Nadi, 4-0 in its opening match in Nausori this morning.
Abdul Faraz, Jimmy Voce, Ratu Moape and Savenaca Baledroka were the scorers for the school.
In other matches played so far, Natabua High beat Nabua Secondary 2-0 and Misiwane Nairube’s Kamil College from were 2-0 winners over Latter Day Saints.
In an exciting match, Nadi Muslim College, with Fiji Under-20 and Nadi district rep, Mataiasi Toma, drew nil-all with Vashist Muni College from Navua.
Also, Ba’s Nukuloa College beat Sigatoka Methodist 2-1 and Xavier College also of Ba, thumped Sigatoka-based Kavanagasau College, 3-0.
