Samoan club ready for Fijian battle

April 13, 2015 12:58 am

The Lupe Ole Soaga football club will not let the excitement of the draw against AS Pirae get to them in the second match of the Fiji Airways OFC Champions League.

The Samoans drew three-all with Pirae on Saturday, and will face co-hosts Vodafone Ba tomorrow at Govind Park.

Former Ba rep and now Lupe Ole Soaga player, Scott Gannon, says it is about putting in a grand effort in each game.

“We just focusing on one game at a time and can improve with each performance. It’s the first time a Samoan club got a goal and let alone get a point at this level. So anything from here is a bonus and it’s a great experience for the boys and hopefully in the years to come they can use this experience and get better for it.”

Match day three will be played in Suva and Ba tomorrow.

In games tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium, Auckland City takes on Western United at 4.30pm and Vodafone Suva battles Amicale at 7pm.

At Govind Park, Ba meets Lupe Ole Soaga at 4:30pm while AS Pirae faces Gaitcha at 7pm.

You can catch the live commentary of the Ba-Lupe Ole Soaga match with the voice of soccer Raymond Stoddart at 4.30pm while the Suva Suva-Amicale match commentary will be on Radio Fiji 2 at 7pm.
