Fiji Bati rep Daniel Saifiti knows the importance of securing his starting spot for the Newcastle Knights before looking ahead to a potential State of Origin debut.

The front-rower is aware that he is going to have to work hard to earn his place in the starting side with the arrival of experienced props in the team.

Saifiti told Newcastle Herald that it’s up to him to knuckle down, do his job and hopefully keep that starting spot.
