Vodafone Fiji 7s coach, Ben Ryan has shared his affection for the Rewa Galaxy Kaji Rugby competition, which started this morning at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
17 teams from around the country are competing in the tournament from the under 9 to the under 14 grades.
Ryan says he enjoys witnessing the youngsters compete against each other and the values that they will learn along the way.
“This is probably the best thing I think that happens in Fiji, in my opinion in rugby terms as far as competition is concerned. This is where they get to enjoy themselves and also the values that we want at the highest levels about team work, honesty and hard work.”
Over 2400 players are competing in teams which have come from as far as Cakaudrove, Ra, Naitasiri, Tailevu, Ovalau, Gau and Macuata.
The finals of the Rewa Galaxy Kaji rugby will be held on Thursday.
