Vodafone Fiji 7’s coach Ben Ryan has hinted that this year’s Dubai 7’s may have been his last.
Speaking after the match against New Zealand in the semi finals, Ryan praised his team for a well played game but did mention that this maybe his final Dubai tournament.
“We are seven on the trot against New Zealand. I’ve never lost to New Zealand in nine years in Dubai and it is probably my last Dubai and I am glad that we kept that record intact.”
Meanwhile, Ryan’s team will look to make it two out of two tournaments when they compete at the Cape Town 7’s this weekend.
Fiji defeated England 28-17 in the Cup final of the Dubai 7’s yesterday.
The Cape Town tournament will be played this Saturday and Sunday.
