Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan has been impressed with players who were not the regular seasonal players during the Sevens World Series.
These players include, Alivereti Veitokani, Masivesi Dakuwaqa, Josua Vici and Sevuloni Mocenacagi.]
Ryan, says these players have put up a strong performance and have been competitive through-out the training.
“Guys here that have hardly played much in the 7s series, they have really put their hands up strongly and we will pick on form but also what I’m starting to see now is that everybody is playing and I want to see at the end of the selection and they have all got big ticks by their names, makes it really hard for me but means we going to take the strongest side possible to Rio.”
Ryan names the final 12 member squad on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Fiji takes on Brazil in its opening match at 4.30am on August 10th, Argentina at 9.30am and plays USA in its last pool match at 4.30am on August 11th.
