Ryan hopes Fijians get to watch 7s

December 4, 2014 11:32 pm

Vodafone Fiji sevens coach Ben Ryan says he is hoping there is a last minute change and the people of this country will be able to watch the Dubai tournament live on their television screens.

The Fijian side starts its campaign at the tournament from this evening and Ryan says his team is ready to play.

He told Radio Australia’s Pacific Beat that he understands how much the people of Fiji like following the team.

“I know how much everybody in the islands look forward to watching us playing and to take that away for them is really a shame. But you never know there might be some last minute reprieve. It will be available on the internet but I know it isn’t available to everybody but Fijians are very creative people and that I am sure will find a way around it epically when the team is playing so well.”

Fiji plays France in its opening match at 6.44pm, before meeting Brazil at 9.44pm.

The last pool match is against Argentina at 1.52am tomorrow.
