Vodafone Fiji 7s coach, Ben Ryan is happy with the discussion held between World Sevens Series team coaches and referees in Sydney earlier this week.

The main topic of discussion was on ensuring the teams and referees are on the same page in terms of the interpretation of the laws.

Ryan raised the issue whereby some teams are pushing the boundaries of the laws of the game to their advantage.

“We’ve got to continue to work with each other to get the best out of the referees and the referees to get the best out of the teams so we put out the best version of sevens that we can in the World Series.”

Meanwhile Fiji will face Samoa in the opening match of the Sydney 7s at 12pm on Saturday followed by the clash against France at 3:18pm.

Fiji’s last pool game is against Argentina at 7:21pm.
