Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan is happy with the performance of the players in the current 30-member squad.

The players are currently part in the second phase of their training camp.

Ryan says he is glad that there are players within the squad that can cover multiple positions on the field.

“I’m looking at very good rover options for the team. I’m looking at them and they can all play in the hooker position because they have the size. Some are quick enough to play in the wing. The halfbacks can play nine and ten. Players like Osea (Kolinsau) can play at 10, rover and wing. You need to have that in the squad because you never know what happens with injuries over a two-day tournament.”

Ryan will trim his squad to 24 players tomorrow, which will be broken into two teams to participate at the Ovalau 7s at Nasau Park next weekend.
