Three Fijians named in NZ squad for World U20 Championship

Three who Fijians have been named in the 50-man New Zealand squad to prepare for the World under 20 Championship.

Former Marist Brothers High School Under 18 number-eight Kaliopasi Uluilakepa has been named in the forward pack while former Queen Victoria School student Emoni Narawa has been shortlisted in the backs and Chay Fihaki who is the cousin of Flying Fijians Albert Tuisue and Ben Volavola.

Coach Craig Philpott says the players have been working on individual programs since their last assembly in December and they are eager to progress.

The New Zealand side will compete at the Oceania Championship before heading to Argentina in June for the World under 20 Championships.

NZ is pooled with South Africa, Scotland and Georgia.
