Tuisese and Tikoisuva awarded FRU Life Membership

Pio Bosco Tikoisuva and Ratu Ilaitia Tuisese was awarded the Fiji Rugby Union Life Membership during the Fiji Rugby Annual General meeting today.

The two Former national rep, captain, manager, coach and administrator, Tuisese and Tikoisuva were recognized by the Fiji Rugby board for their contribution to the sport.

With more than 30 years of experience in Rugby, Pio Tikoisuva says he was thrilled to receive the award.

“CEO just told me they have got a plan for me for the Rugby World Cup that I will have to be part of the ones there. They haven’t given me what the particulars, they just told that they’ve got a plan – I told them ask me first before you get your plan.”

With the Rugby World Cup just four months away, Former Fiji 7s player that won the Hong Kong tournament in 1997, Tuisese says the Flying Fijians need to get started with their team camp if they are to stand a chance at winning.

“My only wish is for them to come in early to re-group quickly and have an ample time for them to be able to put things together before they go to Japan. It’s quite unfair as it is at the moment the All Blacks, the Wallabies and and everyone else are doing their weekend camp all that.”

The Fiji Rugby Annual General meeting was held at Novotel in Lami.
