Tabai Matson appointed as Flying Fijians Assistant Coach

Chiefs assistant coach Tabai Matson has been confirmed as an assistant mentor  for the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians to the Rugby World Cup.

Upon arrival at the Nausori Airport ahead of the Chiefs and Crusaders Super Rugby clash this weekend, Matson told FBC Sports that he is excited with the opportunity.

“I’m so excited and privilege and really proud that I got the honor to do that again so for me you know clearly that’s a few weeks away but I’m only honored and humbled to be selected to help the team this World Cup.”

Matson had also assisted Fijian coach John McKee during the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

The Flying Fijians will start their camp for its World Cup preparation from July 1st.

Fiji is pooled with Australia, Wales, Georgia and Uruguay at the Rugby World Cup which will start on September 21st in Japan.
