The Nadroga Rugby side is wary of Suva as they prepare for the Skipper Cup final clash this Saturday.

With last year’s grand-final loss to Suva still fresh in their minds, the Stallions are leaving no stones unturned in the lead-up to the much anticipated final.

Nadroga will be out to avenge its loss but the players are wary it will be a daunting task.

Nadroga Rugby Union President Tiko Matawalu says Suva is the best team this season.

‘You know Nadroga has won this cup many times but then it goes back to the current form, so in terms of the current form we are looking at Suva the team to beat and that’s the tough road that we have to walk this week’

With a narrow 33-31 win against Naitasiri in the semi-final last weekend, the Stallions have been ironing out their mistakes for their showdown with Suva.

Nadroga will also be missing some key players like Joeli Lutumailagi, Ifereimi Tovilevu and Apisalome Waqatabu who have been called up for the Fijian Latui side.

The 2019 Skipper Cup finals will kick off at 11am with the women’s final between Nadroga and Tailevu.

At 1pm Naitasiri will meet Nadroga in the under 19 final.

The main final between Suva and Nadroga will be at 3pm at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

Meanwhile, at Prince Charles Park in Nadi, Lautoka will take on Yasawa in the final of the Vodafone Vanua Championship at 3pm on Friday.

The women’s and main final will be shown LIVE on FBC Sports.
