Springbok legend Chester Williams [Source: The South African]

Springbok legend Chester Williams will be laid to rest at an official state funeral at Newlands Stadium in South Africa tomorrow.

South Africa’s Public Works Minister Patricia de Lille announced the news at a memorial for the Springbok legend at the University of the Western Cape on Wednesday.

The directive had also been announced by the President.

Williams died suddenly from a heart attack last Friday aged 49.

Williams was part of the 1995 World Cup-winning squad.
