There are some new faces in the Fijiana Sevens squad and coach Saiasi Fuli says all play an integral role in the team.

Fuli says there are 6 new players aged between18 to 19 and are straight out of Secondary School.

Fuli says the inclusion of the new players will create a good pathway for women in sports.

“The Olympic is next year, who knows maybe 6 of our players will retire after that and that is why we have introduced the 6 young girls to continue that succession plan.”

The Fijiana squad will be taking part in the Oceania 7s tournament which will be held in November at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
