Farebrother trophy champions Naitasiri will miss the services of its head coach Koli Sewabu in the new season.

Sewabu has confirmed to FBC Sports that he has resigned from his position this year due to his new appointment as the Fiji Rugby Union Development Manager.

Sewabu says his new role comes with a lot of responsibilities as he had a lot to offer in the development of rugby in the country.

“Obviously with my current role as the national development manager for Fiji Rugby I have to make way for our new coach for U20 to be appointed and my terms of involvement, it will be quite minimal and support towards the development U20 programme leading up to the World Junior Championship this year.”

Under Sewabu’s guidance, Naitasiri defeated rugby giants Nadroga 26-17 to lift the Farebrother trophy last year.

Meanwhile, the 2019 Provincial rugby kicks off in April.
