The All Blacks insist star midfielder Sonny Bill Williams is available for selection for the Rugby World Cup opener against South Africa.

This comes as rumours swirled of a calf injury problem for the veteran that could have taken him out of the tournament before a ball was even kicked in anger.

All Blacks assistant coach Ian Foster was quick to shut down that speculation.

Foster felt Williams, 34, and the All Blacks had been victims of another social media mishap.
