32 teams go head to head over the next three days for the $7,000 main prize money for the Fiji Bitter Savusavu 7s, currently underway at Ratu Ganilau Park in Savusavu.

Launched last night at Yaroi Village in Savusavu, this is only the second time the tournament is being held, thanks to a $16, 000 sponsorship from Fiji Bitter.

Speaking at the event last night, Managing Director for Paradise Beverage Joe Rodan Senior says they have been sponsoring rugby in the country for the past decades and they will continue to do so.

He says it is only right they show their support in Savusavu as well, for the development of rugby at the grassroots level.

Five teams from Viti Levu are also taking part in the 7’s tournament.

They are Ratu Filise, Uluinakau, Gau Kacau, Lami Cavaliers and St John Draiba.
